Unstrung is a horror-themed slot from Kek Studios with six reels and five rows using cluster pays mechanics. The game features an RTP of 96.7%, high volatility and a maximum win of 25,000x the bet.
Matching symbols connect horizontally or vertically to form winning clusters. After a natural win, a Needle joins eligible symbols to create additional clusters. Scissors remove low-value symbols from the grid, trigger refills and generate new winning combinations.
Cascading reels continue to fall and create new clusters after each win. Multipliers attach to winning clusters and grow through consecutive cascades. Thread Bound links the J-Button, Q-Spool, K-Doll and A-Mascot symbols in pairs; linked symbols share multiplier growth. When both symbols in a linked pair win on the same cascade, the multiplier doubles twice.
Premium Cut removes low-value symbols from refill spaces after Scissors activates, though premium symbols, tools and bonus boxes continue to appear.
Three boxes trigger the Bonus round, which grants three starting lives. Silver or Golden Tools appear during play, with boxes able to restore lives or increase multipliers. Four boxes trigger the Super Bonus, which starts with four lives and shows Golden Tools more frequently. Five boxes trigger the Epic Bonus with five starting lives; all tools are Golden here, and the round guarantees a minimum win of 800x the base bet.
Stitch Spins begin with one spin and extend by one for each Needle, Scissors or Tool that appears. Tools extend the spin count by one each; the round ends without a new tool.
Bonus Enhancer increases the chance of entering a bonus tier. Super Bonus Enhancer raises the chance of Super Bonus. Super Bonus buy mode guarantees entry to Super Bonus. Mystery Spin grants one spin with a chance to trigger any bonus tier. Last Stitch runs one spin where all paying symbols start at x128 multiplier.
