How to read the comparison
RTP, volatility and max win are not three versions of the same statement. RTP is what a slot pays back over a run long enough that the number means anything at all, and the gap between two slots is usually a fraction of a percent. Volatility says how that return arrives: a low-volatility slot pays small and often, a high-volatility one pays rarely and large, and both can carry the same RTP. Max win is the ceiling, and it is the number that says the least about an ordinary session - most players never come close to it, which is exactly why it is the number most often quoted.
The same name does not mean the same game. Measured across our catalogue in September 2026, two parts of one series are no closer in volatility than two randomly drawn slots from the same studio, and their max win differs by a factor of two on average. Waylanders Forge and Waylanders Cup share a name and almost nothing else: 98.00 against 96.70 RTP, high against medium volatility, 80,085 against 100,000 max win. A sequel inherits the theme and the artwork far more reliably than it inherits the mathematics.
The community RTP column is empty for most slots, and that is the honest state rather than a gap we forgot to fill. It is built from the bet archives players upload, and a payout estimate needs a great many rounds before it stops being noise: below 25,000 rounds the range around the estimate is wider than the difference between any two slots you might be comparing. Where the column shows a round count instead of a percentage, the data exists but has not reached that floor. Where it shows a percentage, enough rounds have been measured for the number to carry weight.
What this tool does not do is tell you which slot is better. That depends on what you are playing for, how long you intend to play and what a session is worth to you, and no table can settle it. Two slots with identical figures can feel completely different to play, because the mechanics behind the numbers - how a bonus is triggered, how often it is worth buying, how the multipliers stack - are not in any of these columns. Use the demo where there is one.
Questions about comparing slots
Not on its own. RTP is a long-run average, and the difference between two slots is typically a few hundredths of a percent - far smaller than the swing of a single session. A slot with 96.5% RTP and low volatility and one with 96.5% RTP and very high volatility return the same amount over time while offering entirely different experiences. Read RTP together with volatility, never instead of it.
It changes the distribution, not the average. High volatility means long stretches without a meaningful win followed by rare large ones; low volatility means frequent small returns. For the same stake and the same RTP, a high-volatility slot burns through a balance faster and more often, and it is also the only kind that can produce the outsized wins people post.
Because it is measured, not copied from the provider. The figure comes from bet archives that players upload themselves, and an estimate only becomes meaningful above roughly 25,000 recorded rounds. Most slots in the catalogue have fewer, so the column shows the round count instead of a number that would pretend to be settled.
